Korean is makeup is much more different from the ones and for the fact that Korean cosmetics are far more advanced than the US made cosmetics made me follow Korean Makeup gurus. Famous Korean makeup brands like Etude, The Face Shop, Skin Foods, Tony Moly, etc. and K-Pop led me to these inspiring Korean makeup gurus. So, the reason why I’m talking about this is that I’m so fond on watching Korean makeup tutorials and I’m currently learning how to do it from them, let me share to you some of the Korean makeup gurus that I follow.
6. So Young’s Beauty Room
The reason why she’s on the list is that I like her doing simple makeup tutorials and she also has her makeup line “MEMEBOX.” What I meant by simple is that she doesn’t do her makeup with dark eyeshadows and thick eyeliners, but her makeup looks natural on her. She preserves and enhances her beauty with makeup, and that’s what I like about her.
What I like Daddoa is that she shows the products that she uses and unlike other makeup gurus, she shows how she does the blending of her base makeup and of course, I love her finished look. It looks natural and pure.
4. Ch. MPD’s Makeup Guru
She’s the new makeup guru that I just recently knew about because I used to follow Mnet’s MPD Channel where her tutorials were uploaded. She did a fantastic job on EXID’s Hani Up & Down look and AOA’s (Ace of Angels) Like a Cat cute/sexy glitter smokey cat-eye makeup. Here are my favorite tutorials that I mentioned earlier.
For K-pop makeup tutorials, I can recommend coffeeAtmyhouse. Her tutorials are the best and probably the closest when it comes to k-pop makeup inspired looks, and I love how she does eye makeup which should be the highlight of every makeup tutorial.
If you don’t agree with me, look at how she did Taeyeon’s makeup for Taeyeon’s makeup for Amber’s Shake That Brass and Luna’s Red Light makeup music video! Isn’t it perfect?
2. Kwak Tori
Kwak Tori is also a fantastic Korean makeup artist. Not only she does Korean style makeup but she also does tutorials on seasonal looks like a Halloween look perhaps, and you will love her other tutorials on simple looks that you can also do on a daily basis. One example of this look is the first tutorial that’s posted below.
She’s my favorite. I know that there are more Korean makeup artists are better but personally, she’s the best. But I like her style on how she teaches her techniques the most, and if I say makeup transformation, then I can tell she can achieve mostly everything. I think some of you are familiar with her because she appears on TV (Channel M). She’s also popular around Asia for her amazing makeup skills.
For my favorite tutorials, I loved how she used Etude’s Play 101 Pencil. Check them out below.
And I know that this isn’t a Korean look, but you need to watch her amazing Hijab makeup transformation.
Now, if you are planning on learning these stuff, you need to be very patient because when you do it for the first time, you won’t get the exact look and aside from that, natural beauty is far better than wearing makeup every day.
So that’s it for now, please if you can suggest something you want me to talk about and do comment them below.
