Making my Canvas Curtain for my Workspace
People have been talking about sustainability for quite some time now. I have been asking myself the same question for many many months now. Why am I still creating clothes if I will become a part of a problem? Maybe as a normal person outside the fashion industry, you probably don’t realize how much fabric scraps fashion brands produce.
You might have heard stories of successful brands that most likely inspired you into taking part in this movement. I myself made it into one of my missions as an individual and a brand because I want to be a solution to a problem. I mean, let’s not add up to textile waste, people. Avoid buying clothes that do not last for years. This is why we also have to support locally crafted textiles and sustainable businesses well. I know it comes with a price but if we do not support it, where will we start? How will these small businesses grow? Well, if you can afford it or can save up for it, invest in quality and sustainability because it helps in the livelihood of a lot of people.
Since I have been experimenting with what I can make with sustainable and environment-friendly materials, I started to make these giveaway pouches at first until I came up with the idea of making these canvas curtains. What I really love about the canvas curtain that I specially customized for is that they’re eco-friendly and aesthetically pleasing for my workspace.
