Some may be curious about how I edit my photos on Instagram. I had three themes since last year, and I’m going to tell you my secrets on those series of Instagram posts that I made before.
I usually use three editing applications, and there’s another app that I’m using to arrange my photos. For quick photo editing, I use Snapseed and VSCO. For my camera photos, I am using Lightroom on desktop and VSCO.
First, you have to decide on your theme. It’s not necessary to have a color palette as long as you have the same filter for every photo and you know how to arrange your photos.
Remember that each photo you are taking is different in the sense of lighting, angle, and content. Don’t expect that every filter will match with the picture well. Your settings may vary, and some filters may not even suit your photos.
Using a good camera or your phone, snap a good angled photo and load it on VSCO.
Filter: SE3 +12
Highlights Save: +12
TIP: You will have to adjust the temperature to get rid of the yellow tones especially if you’re on iPhone.
For my second filter, I used two different filters because there are also a variety of cameras that I’m using for my Instagram feed when I was creating these posts.
This one’s my latest pink theme!
Filter: S1 +12
I encountered a lot of problems while arranging my Instagram feed especially when I just started maintaining a theme until I discovered some Instagram planning applications. There are free ones such as Planoly, PostVu, and Preview where you can even set a schedule when to post your photos.
The application that I’m currently using is PostVu. You will have to log in to your account first, and it will automatically load your photos on Instagram just like how your feed looks. When arranging your photos, you can drag and drop the picture to where you would want it to be.
So that’s it! That’s how I edit my Instagram photos. Have you decided what to do with yours?
